About Sam
I believe that singing is an art best exercised when students are happy and comfortable. My lessons are productive yet personal and relaxed. I cater my approach to the specific needs of all my students, and am able to offer ABRSM/Trinity exam support as well as general vocal coaching or Choral Scholarship Audition coaching. I have over 5 years' experience, extensive child safeguarding training and Enhanced DBS clearance. My timings are flexible, with most lessons normally 1 hour in length.

I am passionate about teaching people how to sing in an enjoyable and productive environment, and encouraging them to find their own unique voice. I offer classical vocal coaching to students of all ages. I have sung with world class choirs, including as a Choral Scholar with the Choir of Magdalen College, Oxford. I also offer help and advice for Oxford and Cambridge choral scholarship applications and auditions, and support for aspiring choristers.

I could honestly not recommend Sam enough. He helped my daughter understand complicated musical concepts by breaking them down into easy bits. This made her more able to figure out how to play her piano pieces. She really loved learning with him, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn music theory.

Could not recommend Sam enough as a tutor! He managed to turn even the most daunting of my dissertation-related problems into easy, manageable tasks and worked incredibly hard to make sure I felt motivated and confident throughout our lessons. Despite picking a somewhat niche dissertation topic, Sam went above and beyond to ensure he had a firm grasp of the issues at hand so that we could have a fruitful discussion. If you ever feel lost or stuck with a dissertation, Sam will be an absolute lifesaver.
