About Robyn
I am a recent first-class graduate from the University of Edinburgh. My main areas of interest include sociolegal, criminal, historical, and jurisprudential studies - think medical law, sentencing practice, and the philosophy of criminalisation. I have garnered strong analytical and research skills throughout my degree, and can help you boost your essay grades by refining your writing and teaching you how to go beyond surface-level analysis. The hope is that by working together, we can have you producing truly exceptional pieces of work.
I also achieved a very strong 85% in my criminal law dissertation. If you are struggling to come up with a concept, can’t narrow down your field of research, or just generally feel stuck, I can help you secure that first-class thesis.

Having focused largely on essay-based honours courses during my law student career, my tutoring sessions will help you analyse different legal and jurisprudential issues critically, while also aiding your ability to translate these concepts into first-class pieces of writing.
My tutoring sessions will meet you where you’re at. By honing in on the skills you already possess, devising a plan to fill the gaps, and finding a method that is most productive for you, the goal is to get you feeling more comfortable taking initiative independently. I want you to leave our sessions feeling confident in yourself and your abilities, and I believe that my approachable and encouraging demeanour will set the tone for a comfortable - yet productive - dynamic.
