About Owain
- I have had a lot of experience making academic applications. I received all 5 UCAS offers, including Trinity College, Cambridge and a major scholarship towards law school from Lincoln's Inn.
- I will be making post-graduate applications this year so will be going through a similar process to my students.
- I received a great deal of tutoring throughout my time at school and so I remember what works; patience, encouragement and finding an explanation which works for the student.
- I did not always found school easy and even had to retake my maths GCSE so I can empathise with those who find certain subjects don't click.

About the lesson

- My lessons are aimed at A-Level students who are looking to apply to university.
- I will focus particularly on improving core writing skills which are essential for higher education success using my skills gained from my position as an editor on an academic journal.
- At six form I tutored year 9 maths and this summer I taught a summer school at Cambridge to undergraduate law students.
- I will teach in a style which mimics the Cambridge Supervision system and so will prepare students for university.
- Lessons will be one hour.
