About Nishchal
I hold a Master's degree from University College London in Biological Sciences, specialising in cellular biology and specifically the Biology of Ageing, the subject of my Master's thesis. After having graduated with first class honours I am applying for PhD positions to continue study in this field to better understand why we age and how we can develop novel therapies to live healthier for longer. Whilst at university I also explored the real world application of biomedical research. I was elected as President of MedTech UCL, the largest MedTech society in Europe, working with leaders in the field to investigate how medical technologies can be leveraged to tackle the biggest healthcare challenges of today. Subsequently, I was elected President of the UCL Bioethics and Medical Law society where we discussed the most pressing ethical issues that arise from biomedical research and the ways in which innovation in this field can be regulated in a socially and ethically responsible way. This also led me to my role running a Bioethics ThinkTank, where I supervise students to write review articles within the bioethics field to be published in academic journals.
I also enjoy competing in open water swimming events and playing the guitar, performing at open mic events!

I teach up to undergraduate level, tailoring lessons to each students to meet their individual requirements. After having studied the syllabi and mark schemes for relevant assessments I will work with students to ensure they are able to earn marks in the most direct way possible whilst gaining a fundamental and contextual understanding of their subject area. I will also impart learning and revision techniques I have employed successfully to help students develop their own working style that they can take forward with them in future studies.
