About Layla
I am a fresh English Literature and History graduate who recently won an award for my dissertation on Renaissance Drama's reflections on society. I achieved a 9 in History at GCSE, a B at A-level, and an A at AS-level. I have experience in leading Creative Writing workshops at University and I volunteer as an English tutor in my free time. I am also highly passionate about my subject area and with younger generations engaging with the humanities. I hold the firm belief that with the rising reliance on AI and technology, skills such as critical thinking, critical analysis, and empathy will become major necessities not only in the workplace but in navigating life in general.

When it comes to humanities subjects, students require a patient, empathetic, and most importantly, tailored approach. Lessons will focus on building critical thinking and analysis skills. Lesson plans will be adapted to the individual's needs but may include: content quizzes, reading followed by discussion, question deconstruction, source/text analysis, homework help, and essay structures. First session is free as it will consist of understanding the student's needs and working with them to develop the best strategy for them to succeed.
