About Anna

I received a First Class BA degree from the University of Exeter in English following three years of passionate study. I have trained for two years as an actor in London and have worked extensively as a proof-reader, copy editor, blog manager and tutor for both individuals and corporate companies. I work frequently with youth theatre companies, am an avid reader and love nothing more than nurturing and supporting individuals in their studies. My background in acting has made me dedicated, warm and playful, all skills I use to the maximum when providing tuition. Studying isn’t easy. Seeking help should be! I aim to make the tutoring process as rewarding for tutees as possible by following this principle.

About the lesson

It’s difficult to summarise a methodology that I pride on being unique to every student. I aim to teach in the method that best assists you to learn. I craft a detailed bespoke learning programme based on discussions at the start of each tuition journey, ensuring that I can meet your aims and needs to the best of my ability. I am able to support students in a range of areas, from spelling, punctuation and grammar, to essay technique and detailed textual analysis. And I try to keep the mood light. Life is weighty enough on its own! If we can find the joy, the good work takes care of itself!

Perfect! Anna is an excellent and extraordinary. Not only immediately knows which part i have to work on to advance my speaking and writting, but she also have a good way in giving feedback to me, so i don’t feel discouraged

Dian has an excellent grasp of the English language and worked well throughout the session. We are aiming to work further on the use of tenses and interesting sentence structures to elevate Dian's writing further. I'm very much looking forward to our next session.
