About Farouk
I am a First Class Economics graduate currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Economics, with more than 3 years of tutoring experience teaching students from different academic systems and levels. I graduated from The British University in Egypt with a dual degree from London South Bank University, achieving a GPA of 4.0/4.0 and ranking 2nd among my cohort. I specialise in Economics, Business, Accounting and Finance for IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, undergraduate and masters level students.
Alongside tutoring, I have professional experience in economics, finance, consulting, public policy and research through working with organisations and firms across different sectors. My experience includes work related to economic research, public policy analysis, finance, stakeholder engagement and business consulting, which allows me to connect academic theory with real-world applications during lessons.
I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy simplifying complex concepts and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. My goal is not only to help students achieve high grades, but also to develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills that they can apply beyond exams.
I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I personalise my lessons based on the student’s academic level, learning style and goals. I focus on creating a professional, supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging throughout the lesson.

I am a First Class Economics graduate and experienced tutor with more than 3 years of teaching experience in Economics, Business, Accounting and Finance. I graduated from The British University in Egypt with a dual degree from London South Bank University, achieving a GPA of 4.0/4.0 and ranking 2nd among my cohort. I teach students from different academic backgrounds including IB, IGCSE, A-Level, AP, undergraduate and masters level courses.
My lessons are highly personalised based on each student’s curriculum, exam board, academic level and learning style. I focus not only on helping students understand concepts clearly, but also on improving exam technique, analytical thinking and confidence in solving questions.
I have experience teaching international curricula and university modules, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, business management, accounting principles, finance, international business and research-related subjects. I also help students with assignments, coursework, revision planning, exam preparation and past paper practice.
My teaching approach is interactive, structured and student-focused. I simplify complex topics using real-world examples, diagrams and step-by-step explanations to ensure students fully understand the material rather than memorising it. Typical lessons are around 2 hours long. Usually, around 1.5 hours are dedicated to explanation using my detailed personalised notes, which also include relevant examples and applications, while the remaining 30 minutes focus on prepared exam-style questions to assess the student’s understanding and strengthen their ability to link theory to practice.
Lessons are conducted online in a professional and organised manner with high-quality notes and tailored support for every student.
