About Lola
- I am passionate about Physics with a special interest in Astrophysics, Quantum Physics and Computer Science. My interest in Astrophysics goes beyond the national curriculum which can inspire students to pursue the same subject as me despite not encountering this in school. - I am encouraging and supportive, since making mistakes or misunderstanding is a natural aspect of life and progression. I am happy to teach the same topic 10 times over as long as you leave with a better understanding and higher confidence in that area. - I can sympathise and understand being in the education system as a young adult who sat the same qualifications as the qualifications you will sit in the future.

- The typical length of a lesson is 60 minutes, but open to lessons up to 120 depending on preference. - Lesson will have a main focus beginning with myself teaching key information using worked examples or highlighting important vocabulary. This is followed by an assessment for learning task where students will attempt a question with guidance and support (via questioning) by me. Depending on initial understanding, I can go back and recover some aspects with different examples until a solid level of understanding is reached. Then we are able to progress onto more complex topics. This will be a continuous cycle with external practice work set outside of tuition time for the student to complete independently. - I have privately tutored (Mathematics, English, and Science) when I was a school student and university student. I completed my Bachelor's degree in 2022 in Astrophysics and received a first class with honours. I began my PGCE for Science (Physics) in September 2024 and will graduate with QTS this July. - I can teach KS3 all science & maths. I can teach KS4 all science, mathematics, computer science. I have experience teaching KS5 Physics only but would be capable to teach Mathematics and Computer Science at KS5 also.
