About Ailsa
I’m a friendly and approachable tutor who has recently completed A-level Politics myself. Having gone through the course and exams fairly recently, I understand what it’s like to balance a lot of content while also learning how to write effective essays and use the knowledge in an exam. I am now doing a politics degree so I can also help you with finding the best contemporary examples to hit those high marks.

Having completed A-level Politics last year, I know how overwhelming the subject can feel at first, especially when there are so many theories, thinkers, case studies and contemporary examples to remember.
My approach is to make Politics feel structured, understandable and manageable. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into clear explanations, helping students understand the arguments behind different viewpoints, and then showing them how to turn that knowledge into strong exam answers.
I can also share my own A-level revision notes, essay structures, exam techniques and revision tips that I found useful when preparing for my exams. I want lessons to be interactive and tailored to each student, whether they need help understanding a particular topic, improving their essays, revising for exams or simply building their confidence in the subject.
