About Alexandra
I have tutored to elementary-level children for three years as part of an extracurricular project while I was an art student myself. The objective of this project was to inspire young children into studying art; channeling their energy into various forms of art.
I have also tutored children at a prestigious art summer camp in New York; children from as young as six to seventeen years old.
I have extensive experience in drawing and painting; and I am continuously learning myself so I believe the classes will be mutually beneficial. I have a diploma in Fine Art and I have been involved in numerous art events; contests and my work is being used, most recently, as a promotional image for fliers at the University of Leicester.

I am knowledgeable in many areas of visual expression, from painting and sculpture to photography and printmaking. I have inspired students how to complete watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings, create ceramic sculptures and sketch with charcoal pencils.
I am passionate about teaching art to young students and introducing them to art forms they might not be familiar with. I bring strong organizational and motivational skills to my classes and I am able to keep a student engaged and help him/her build self-confidence in creating art.
My classes are quite relaxed; I am a relaxed teacher. Art is supposed to be about expressing yourself, finding your style and strengths, and enjoying yourself. I prefer to start by assessing the abilities of students and then establish a goal based on how far they would like to take their abilities. I would also try to establish their strengths and weaknesses.

Details
If the traveling distance is more than 2km, I will still conduct lessons but depending on travel costs, there might be an additional small charge. If it's only slightly out of this range, I will not charge anything over the regular amount - only if it is particularly far or hard to reach.
I would also require a booking in advance, as I would need to make time for it in my schedule.
