My mission is to help you to see the possibilities in life, to take action toward your goals and dreams, address the things that stop you doing what you love and make the life YOU want a reality.
You may be thinking that sounds too good to be true.
That isn't possible for me?! It really is possible, and I have the tools and experience to guide you through the difficulties you may be experiencing right now.
As a psychologist, educator and business professional, I have been changing lives for over a decade. Having gained my BSc (hons) Psychology and then MSc in Health Psychology at the University of Southampton, I have worked in academic research and behaviour change interventions with a focus on understanding people's lived experiences.
Every one of us has a completely unique view and understanding of the world and from this understanding we shape our thoughts and behaviours. When working with clients I am able to use my experience and tools to unravel your personal story and enable powerful conversations without judgement or bias, to guide you toward the changes you want.
I am passionate about coaching because I love to see the changes people can make and the possibilities they create. Seeing a spark of excitement at planning a goal, or the beaming smile when a client is proudly recognised for their achievements at work... or knowing someone finally able to relax and release their stress and anxiety.
My coaching approach is as unique as each individual, grounded in effective, proven methodology I provide you clear and practical ways to move forward.
I have studied a range of approaches to bring a variety of tools to you, including Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, all based on my solid understanding of the disciplines of Psychology and Coaching.
I've been through the ups and downs too, both in business and personally. I've had amazing successes and a few crushing failures along the way. I understand the challenges. I understand it can be scary doing things differently. I have worked on my own personal development along the way to gain much needed work/life balance. I am passionate about helping others, and love my work but also love spending time as a mum to my fabulous six-year-old daughter.
Since childhood, horses have been a huge influence and passion. I have utilised my equestrian and therapeutic background together in Equine Assisted Therapy. Running a successful equestrian centre specialising in helping young people therapeutically has been an extremely rewarding experience. I am honoured to have helped so many young people gain confidence and self-esteem damaged through trauma. As a part of the healing, education was also a key element and trained many students to gain recognised horse care and riding qualifications. This led me to the design and recent launch of Equestion - an equestrian learning app to help all riders learn about horses and prepare for examinations. I still enjoy teaching riding to a select number of clients individually, on their own horses with a focus on confidence issues, and bring my expertise online with the Horse Power riding confidence course.
I have created my ideal life here in the beautiful East Midlands countryside with my family in a small village between Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Tamworth. Bordering Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire I am ideally located close to many major cities including to the south Birmingham and Coventry, and to the north, near to Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Derby and Nottingham.
My work allows me to meet amazing individuals and businesses locally for face-to-face coaching, 1:1 or in groups and workshops. Technology also allows me to work using video call to clients anywhere in the world, or those who simply want the convenience of coaching in the comfort of their own home or office.
