About Finbarr
Hi there! My name is Finbarr, a native English speaker, and I speak Irish also. I'm originally from Cork, in the south of Ireland, but now I live in Dublin. I see myself as friendly and welcoming. I've many interests and hobbies, including the outdoors, music and sport. I hold a professional teaching diploma. I very much enjoy teaching, and I love to meet new people like you, and to help you to improve your language ability. I'm professional and reliable, and you can expect all classes to be well-prepared.

The needs and interests of the learner are at the heart of it all for me. I teach at the pace of the learner. My classes are relaxed, fun and creative, drawing on up-to-date resources.
I have a 120 hour TEFL certificate from the TEFL Institute of Ireland, and also a professional teaching diploma (Higher Diploma in Education) from University College Cork, Ireland.
I have over two years online TEFL experience, and before that, I have many years of experience of teaching adults in a variety of settings. I have successfully helped a student to complete the speaking part of the Trinity B2 examination. I also have experience of in-class teaching of both teenagers and adults, from which I draw on a variety of teaching resources for my one-to-one classes. My lessons are for teenagers and adults of all levels.

As a teacher myself, I have the experience to recommend Finbarr without any hesitation.
I was his student in an introductory course on Irish culture given by an organization within the Erasmus framework -English Matter. The classes were held last July at Trinity College in Dublin and I was taught by Finbarr on various aspects of Irish culture and art.
