About Lerato
I am an Accounting & Finance graduate with 3 years tutoring experience ranging from 1st year students to 3rd year students. My tutoring experience has allowed me to mentor 3rd year repeating students to pass their modules on second attempt with distinction during the global pandemic. Groups I have tutored range from one-on-one sessions to groups of 100-300 students. I have managed to help struggling students to pass their modules & improve academic performance by 20% and more. Lastly, I have experience with both online & face-to-face sessions.

Being a visual learner has allowed me to approach my lessons in a fun, interactive & practical way by making use of mnemonics, acronyms, drawings & abbreviations. I usually approach each topic by making it more conversation based on everyday life experiences to ease the students in & make them comfortable & more willing to engage in the rest of the topic with more confidence to interact while summarizing the topic at hand. Secondly, I would then go & work on an example chronologically & slowly to allow for any questions & answers. I find that this method also allows students to easily ask questions privately after sessions should they not understand. Additionally, my tutoring experience has also taught me to be flexible & adaptable to students' different studying method types.

Students who opt to have regular lessons will have a packaged deal. My rates will vary on the level of the student, work intensity, as well as the distance I need to travel (where applicable). A cancellation policy will apply as follows: Appointment Cancellation - 40% cashback on tuition fee. Inform me the latest on the day before the appointment. -100% cashback on traveling fee Postponing Appointment -nothing is forfeited -all fees will be retained for new date upon agreement.
