I am a final year undergraduate student studying Biosciences. I have a deep passion for teaching and have years of tutoring experience. I understand firsthand how helpful tuition is and I would like to give back to talented and bright students.

My approach to tutoring English and the 11+ begins with a diagnostic assessment to identify exactly where a student needs support. I then use a scaffolded "I do, we do, you do" method, where I model the skill, practise it together with the student, and then have them work independently. For comprehension, I teach the P.E.E. (Point, Evidence, Explanation) technique, and for spelling, punctuation and grammar, I use gamified activities to keep lessons engaging. A typical lesson lasts either 60 minutes for younger students or 90 minutes for full 11+ preparation, including timed practice and feedback. I have several years of experience helping children succeed in grammar and independent school entrance exams. These lessons are designed for students in Years 4 to 6 who are preparing for the 11+. Additionally, I have tutored individuals who are looking to improve their English, by helping them with both their literacy and speaking.
