About Orla
I’m a final year PhD student studying the impact of early life stress on your brain. I studied a Neuroscience BSc and Advanced Neuroimaging MSc but throughout my scientific career have sought the help of tutors at sticking points, who helped invaluably with my learning but also my confidence in the subject. I really think the more we enjoy learning the more we get from it so whilst some parts of your curriculum may seem boring we can try to find ways to make it interesting and fun!

My approach to teaching is very much that clear understanding is imperative and enjoyment and feeling calm when approaching learning is key for understanding. Helping students acquire learning processes rather than just helping them get to the answer means that learning can continue outside of tutoring sessions.
