About Kate
I am an enthusiastic lover of music! I am a firm believer that no one is too far from learning an instrument! I have been teaching for nearly 4 years now and love every minute of it. I love watching talented, aspiring new musicians find the same love I have for the subject.
I am also someone who understands the anxiety that can come from playing and instrument and I assure you that in every lesson you will be made to feel at ease! I am also flexible if anything is needed to taken into account before lessons are started.
In general, I just love music. I love listening to it, playing it, teaching it and also learning about it. You can never learn enough about the capabilities of music.

I believe that you should love the instrument first and foremost. In lessons I aspire to help you fall in love with music and your chosen instrument before worrying about techniques. If you don't love it, how do you expect to learn!
Once the love has been found we will work on different techniques such a breathing and vocal health in singing to finger work and musical quality in piano.
I have achieved my Grade 8 in Musical Theatre and am currently working towards my ALCM in Musical Theatre Singing. I also have Grade 6 in Piano and Grade 8 in Music Theory. I achieved an A* in GCSE Drama and an A in GCSE Music. I have an A at A Level Drama and a B at A Level music. Both of these I have achieved full marks in the performance elements.
I am currently a final year student at Queen's University Belfast where I am maintaining a 2:1 overall. In particular I am maintaining a high first in my performance modules.
Lessons are typically 1/2 hour for Singing,Piano and Music Theory while tutoring for exams and subjects are an hour long. Lessons are for anyone from the age of 8 who wishes to learn music.
