About Gaayen
Hey there! My name is Gaayen and I am a second-year Medical Student at King's College London! I have been teaching science at schools for over 4 years and am now working to help students prepare for their UCAT, BMAT, Medicine Interviews, GCSE Biology, Physics, Chemistry and IB Biology and Physics. I will make sure that you and I work together to tackle challenging aspects, learn useful tips and tricks, and stand out in the subjects you learn from me be it in a BMAT Essay, Medicine Interview, or even GCSE examinations. Having been through the process of applying (and getting into!) Med schools in the UK as an international student, all while juggling extracurriculars and getting good grades, I believe that now we can work together to help you get through that same process as well - in admissions testing, school subject exams, and even interviews.

For Interview Prep sessions, I will use resources and knowledge about past Interviews at that University to ensure we cover and emphasise important points and common questions that the university asks. Using Mock interviews, we can refine speaking styles and build confidence, along with working on aspects other than the content of answers - like clarity of communication. For UCAT and BMAT prep, we will go through techniques that help to gain an extra edge in the exams. Along with this, going through types of questions, working on all of the different types of sections, and working on time-management skills through the exams. For GCSE and IB Subjects, I find that by first learning syllabus material and then going through common questions and learning from past paper mark schemes really helps. Through these techniques, I was able to get 7 A* and 7s in my IB subjects. I will also be able to use a digital whiteboard for easy annotation and explanation, along with resources for learning material.

He helped a lot in preparation of my interviews, mock interviews were very helpful and the feedback itself boosted my answers a lot. Thanks gaayen for being timely and helping secure offers
I definitely recommend Gaayen as a tutor as I found his tips and feedback very helpful! He made it a very safe environment to make mistakes and learn from them and I will for sure reach out to him in case I need his help in the future :)
Gaayen guided my daughter (International IB student) for her Newcastle medicine interview. His approach was well informed , focussed and client-centric. He understands the clientโs unique needs and offers support to bridge any gaps. Thankyou Gaayen, she has received an offer to join Newcastle. :-)
Honestly Gaayen is an understanding tutor who will tailor your lessons in a structured way which helps target weaknesses and consolidate strengths. In my experience, he is very professional and flexible with timings. You can trust him to help you improve to a high level.
