About Olivia
I’ve been involved in sport for as long as I can remember — I’ve been rowing since I was 9 years old — and that discipline and passion have shaped who I am today. Sport has always taught me resilience, teamwork and consistency, and tutoring gives me a chance to pass those values on in an academic setting. I’ve always enjoyed not just learning, but helping others understand. Explaining things in a clear, relatable way comes naturally to me, and I find real satisfaction in seeing someone go from unsure to confident. Now, in my final year at university, I wanted to use my spare time to do something meaningful. Teaching PE allows me to stay connected to a subject I love while helping students feel more capable and prepared. My aim is someone supportive, patient and down-to-earth who makes things feel clearer, not more complicated.

I am a final-year BSc Environmental Geography student at Cardiff University. Before my degree, I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE PE and an A* in A-Level Physical Education, giving me a strong understanding of both the theoretical and practical elements of the subject. I tutor GCSE PE students who need extra support, particularly with the theory content, and I can also offer guidance on presenting and analysing the practical performance side of the course. Lessons are typically 1 hour long and can be scheduled as frequently as needed. In our first session, I take a student-led approach to identify which topics you find most challenging. From there, I assess your strengths and weaknesses and structure lessons to target weaker areas while pushing strengths even further. If you find something easy, there’s no reason not to turn it into a top-mark answer. My goal is to explain concepts clearly, ask exam-style questions, and offer new ways of thinking so that everything finally clicks.
