About Melissa
Hi, I'm Melissa, I am currently a 3rd year Biomedical Science student at Manchester Metropolitan University. I studied biology at A Level and enjoyed the subject so much that I wanted to continue developing my knowledge at university. I chose Biomedical Science because I have a strong interest in medicine and healthcare and wanted to explore how biology applies to the human body and disease. I am passionate about biology and enjoy helping others understand topics that they may find challenging. I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their knowledge.

My biology lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I focus on explaining topics clearly and simply, using diagrams, examples, questions and active recall to help students understand and remember key concepts. I also incorporate exam-style questions to build confidence and improve exam technique. Lessons will typically last around one hour and are suitable for students studying biology at GCSE and A level. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can develop both their knowledge and confidence in biology.
