About Sofia
Hi! I’m a passionate saxophonist who has been playing since the age of 7. Over the years, I’ve performed in bands, quartets and competitions, exploring a wide range of genres including classical, jazz, funk and pop. Music has always been a huge part of my life and teaching allows me to share that joy with others. I’m currently a student and have already given many successful lessons online and in person. My teaching style is friendly, supportive and tailored to each learner: whether you're picking up the sax for the first time or looking to improve specific skills. I love helping students grow not just technically, but also in their musical confidence and creativity. Let’s explore the world of saxophone together: with structure, freedom and a lot of music!

I’ve been playing the saxophone since I was 7 years old and have performed in bands, quartets and competitions across different styles: from classical to jazz, funk and pop. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your technique, I’ll tailor each lesson to suit your level, goals and musical interests. > What to Expect from a Lesson: Each session is personalised and can include tone development, technique, sight-reading, improvisation or working through your favourite songs and pieces. I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and motivating. You'll learn not just how to play notes, but how to truly express yourself through your instrument. > Genres I Teach: – Classical – Jazz – Funk & Soul (groove, rhythm, expression) – Pop/Rock covers and arranging for sax If you have a particular genre or artist you love, we can build your repertoire around that too! > Who Are These Lessons For? – Complete beginners (all ages welcome!) – Intermediate to advanced players looking to expand their skills – Musicians preparing for auditions, concerts, or school exams – Anyone who wants to fall in love with the saxophone!
