Hello!
I’m a doctor of biblical studies specialising in tutoring religious studies, biblical studies, biblical languages and academic skills.
I’m experienced in supporting higher education students. For the last four years I have tutored and lectured at St Andrews University and the University of Nottingham. I have taught modules in Hebrew language and Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, as well as running workshops in exam and essay writing skills.
I offer high school and university level tutoring in:
- Theology, biblical studies and philosophy
- Biblical Hebrew, at beginners' and intermediate level
- Beginners' Classical and Koine Greek
I can also provide tuition in essay writing and academic skills at all levels in arts subjects.
I specialise in developing my students' independent research skills for their further study, and I’m committed to increasing their confidence in and enjoyment of their subject.
My qualifications include MTheol (Hons) Divinity from St Andrews University (First Class), MA Biblical Studies from Durham University (with Distinction), and PhD Divinity from St Andrews University.

I offer a free consultation class in which we will discuss what sort of tutoring you are looking for, the subjects you would like to cover, and your preferred learning style. If you then want to book lessons with me, I will plan tailored classes suited to your needs at £50 an hour. You can book as many or as few as you would like.
