About Dorcas
Hi everyone, my name is Semilore, but you can call me Loore. I’m really excited to be here with you. I love music and learning, and over the years I have studied and practiced in areas like ethnomusicology, African studies, and music education. The reason I want to teach is because I believe learning should be fun, inspiring, and something that stays with you for life. Teaching gives me the chance to share what I have learned, but also to learn from you. I enjoy helping people discover their strengths, grow their confidence, and see how knowledge, whether in music or any subject, can open doors and shape your future. For me, teaching is not just about giving information. It is about building connections, guiding you to think for yourself, and making sure you feel supported in your journey. Qualifications & Experience
I am a trained music educator with specialization in ethnomusicology, African studies, and musicology. I have years of hands-on experience teaching piano, saxophone, and music theory to learners of various ages and skill levels. My academic and research background also enriches my teaching, allowing me to connect music to culture and history in exciting ways.
