About Sophie
I am a piano instructor with over 9 years of experience teaching in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a pedagogy focus. Lessons emphasise sight-reading fluency, score analysis, and interpretation of complex repertoire. I personalise instruction to each student’s strengths and goals. Music history, theory, and period performance practices are incorporated throughout. Finger exercises strengthen technique while supporting expressive artistry. Students include beginners, advanced learners, and professional pianists. Lessons cultivate technical skill, creativity, and musical independence.
