About Rory
I am a Mathematics tutor with 8 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. I have taught over 250 students from secondary school through to advanced undergraduate level. My lessons cover algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and pure mathematics with equal depth and rigor. I am passionate about developing genuine mathematical understanding and rigorous problem-solving ability in every student. My approach is thorough, patient, and adapted to each student's level and examination requirements. My Math lessons are structured to develop genuine conceptual understanding and reliable problem-solving confidence in every session. Every lesson opens with a targeted review of previous material to confirm understanding before building new topics. I explain new concepts using multiple approaches including visual representation, algebraic reasoning, and real-world application to find the method each student understands most naturally. Calculus develops differentiation and integration from first principles through to all standard techniques and their applications. Algebra builds robust equation solving, function theory, and the deep algebraic reasoning required for advanced mathematics. Statistics and probability are taught with genuine conceptual understanding of underlying principles. Pure mathematics topics are developed with full rigor alongside clear intuitive motivation. Past examination questions are integrated throughout every lesson to build technique naturally alongside knowledge. Clear notes and a graduated practice problem set are provided after every session. My commitment is for every student to approach any Mathematics examination with genuine confidence, clear method, and consistent accuracy.
