About Gregory
Having lived and studied in the UK, US, and Russia, I am fluent in both English and Russian. I understand students’ challenges when preparing for exams, especially with unfamiliar formats. With experience as both a teacher and tutor, I’ve mentored fellow students, taught larger groups, and assisted teachers. Along with leading maths Olympiad preparation classes, I’ve also taught in after-school programming clubs. My interactive, practical approach focuses on breaking down complex topics, mastering exam techniques, and easing exam anxiety to help students achieve their best grades. I am currently studying at UCL, on the Meng Robotics and AI program.

I know how challenging it can be to prepare for exams, especially when it comes to presenting answers in the precise format that the mark scheme requires. Having been through it myself and witnessed the challenges my students faced, I’ve learnt how to navigate these “rules” naturally. Whether you need help with a specific topic or guidance through the entire syllabus, I tailor explanations and practice questions to suit your needs. I believe that in order to succeed in any mathematical endeavour, it is necessary to gain a deep understanding of the topics at hand. This is why in lessons, we don’t just practice answering questions, but look deeper into the origins of maths and where exactly the methods we use today were first applied. I also provide exam questions and full papers, marking them in accordance with official guidelines from exam boards like OCR, Edexcel, and AQA, and offering detailed feedback on any mistakes related to the mark scheme. Drawing on my experience as both a tutor and an Olympiad coach, I can help you master the exam techniques necessary to excel.

Perfect! Gregory has been an amazing tutor for my son in A-level Maths and Computing. He makes complex topics easy to understand and always takes the time to explain things clearly. Gregory is fantastic. He’s very engaging and makes the lessons genuinely interesting. My son always looks forward to his classes and has become much more enthusiastic about the subject. I have worked with Gregory in Maths camps. He's very good with kids, friendly and professional. He quickly establishes natural rapport with his students from 10 to 17 years of age and explains complex concepts in a comprehensible and fun way.
Gregory has a really strong grasp of A level material and a really good ability to simplify difficult concepts. He is very patient and has a good sense of humour.
