About Liam
I hold an MMath degree and have been tutoring mathematics for over five years. My passion goes beyond equations and problem-solving — I’m deeply fascinated by the history of mathematics and how human thought has shaped it over centuries. I love exploring how ancient civilizations, from Babylon to India to Greece, laid the foundations for the concepts we use today. In my sessions, I weave in stories of great mathematicians and the origins of famous theorems. We talk about how geometry grew from practical land measurement, or how algebra evolved from trade and commerce. I believe these narratives help students see mathematics not as a cold, abstract subject, but as a living, evolving journey of human curiosity.
