About Wan Iqbal
Hi, I'm Iqbal, currently a final year chemical engineering student at Imperial College London. I'm offering maths, chemistry and physics tuition from at GCSE/IGCSE level and A-level. I have over 1 year of formal tutoring experience in these 3 subjects and have been actively involved with volunteer works in tutoring for over 5 years already. I have been in your shoes once upon a time and I know how intimidating the idea of sitting for exams can be. I was able to achieve good grades for my exams and now I want to help other students to do the same thing for themselves. I believe that learning should be both empowering and enjoyable. Hence, with a strong academic background and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others succeed, I take the time to understand each student’s unique strengths and challenges. My approach focuses on building confidence, developing critical thinking skills, and fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter rather than rote memorisation. I strive to create a comfortable and motivating learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and grow at their own pace, ultimately inspiring them to reach their full potential.

My teaching style includes covering the subject content to build the understanding of the students on the core concepts of each topic. I aim to get you comfortable with your subject, then ace it by our problem class and exam revision session together. I take a personalised approach to teaching, with my own notes and other resources to provide. I use iPad for my online teaching where I can write freely or import and annotate notes. Students can also write on here. For video calls and setting homework, I use Google Classroom to ensure smooth, professional experience. Typical session would take an hour: - First 10 minutes: Recap of previous session - Next 40 minutes: Content of the session - Last 10 minutes: Any clarifying questions
