About Penelope
With over six years of experience in math tutoring, I specialize in geometry and arithmetic, helping school students excel in their assignments and exam preparation. My passion for teaching stems from a love for math and a desire to make it accessible and enjoyable for all students. Over the years, I've developed effective strategies to break down complex problems into understandable steps, ensuring that each student builds a strong foundation and gains confidence in their abilities.
Outside of tutoring, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me engaged and inspired. I am an avid chess player, and I find that the strategic thinking and problem-solving skills required in chess complement my teaching methods in math. Additionally, I enjoy reading science fiction novels, which stimulate my imagination and provide a creative outlet. These interests not only enrich my personal life but also bring a fresh perspective to my tutoring sessions, making learning a dynamic and enjoyable experience for my students.
In my free time, I also love to explore the great outdoors. Hiking and nature photography are two of my favorite activities, allowing me to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the natural world. These hobbies provide a perfect balance to my analytical work, helping me maintain a well-rounded lifestyle. Sharing stories and photos from my hikes often serves as a great way to connect with my students on a personal level, making our sessions more relatable and engaging.
