Expert PE & Sports Science Tutor – GCSE. Looking to boost your grades in PE or Sports Science? Need help with coursework, exam prep, or sports psychology? I’m a PE teacher with extensive experience teaching OCR & AQA GCSE PE and coaching athletes at both participation and elite levels. I specialise in sports psychology, biomechanics, and performance analysis, offering tailored support to help you excel in your studies and practical assessments.
I help GCSE PE students turn theory into exam marks.

Teaching Techniques & Methodology
My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring a balance of theoretical understanding, exam technique, and practical application. I use a variety of teaching methods, including:
Active discussion & questioning – Encouraging critical thinking and deeper understanding.
Visual aids & real-world examples – Breaking down complex topics using diagrams, video analysis, and sports case studies.
Exam-focused preparation – Teaching effective strategies for answering exam questions, structuring extended responses, and applying key terminology.
Sports psychology techniques – Helping students manage pressure, improve concentration, and apply mental skills to their performance. Practical application – Linking theory to real-life sports performance, training, and coaching scenarios. Lesson Structure & Duration A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I offer flexible options to suit different learning needs.
Lessons are structured as follows: Warm-up (5-10 mins): Recap of previous content, addressing any questions. Core Learning (40-45 mins): Deep dive into the chosen topic using interactive discussions, past paper questions, and applied learning techniques. Review & Q&A (5-10 mins): Consolidation of key takeaways, exam practice, and setting targets for independent study.
Qualifications & Experience Qualified PE teacher, currently teaching OCR GCSE PE and coaching various sports at both performance and participation levels. Extensive experience in sports psychology, biomechanics, and strength & conditioning. UEFA C qualified football coach and Head of Badminton, demonstrating strong leadership in sports education. Experience coaching elite netball players and delivering sports psychology workshops. Background in pastoral care, ensuring a supportive and motivating learning environment.
