About Lily
With 12 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in teaching French to high school and college students and have guided 150–200 students towards academic improvement. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding and confidence building. I believe learning a language should be stress-free and encouraging.
I explain French concepts in simple English and break lessons into easy steps. My teaching covers grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, and communication skills with regular practice. I customise lessons based on each student’s academic needs and syllabus.
I support students with exam preparation, coursework, and language development while monitoring progress closely. A major achievement in my career is helping students improve their grades and overcome fear of French. Many students now feel confident and motivated to learn. My aim is to help every student succeed.

My teaching approach to French combines real-world learning, flexibility, collaboration, and compassion. I connect lessons to everyday life using real-life examples and case studies from travel, academics, and professional settings. I personalise lessons based on each student’s learning pace and objectives to ensure steady improvement.
Collaboration is promoted through interactive discussions, speaking activities, and role-plays that encourage active learning. I teach with patience and understanding, creating a positive and motivating environment.
Along with French language teaching, I also cover grammar, vocabulary development, pronunciation and phonetics, reading comprehension, writing skills, conversational French, cultural awareness, and exam-oriented preparation.
