Hello! I am a linguist and educator with a first-class degree in Persian & Linguistics from SOAS, University of London. I grew up in the UK and British English is my mother tongue. My approach to teaching English is rooted in my scientific understanding of how English grammar works, combined with years of experience teaching English.

Why learn with a linguist?
Most British people “just speak” English, but I understand its mechanics. Especially if you are a Persian or Turkish speaker, I understand the specific hurdles your native languages can create when learning English, and how to overcome them. I can explain why mistakes happen in your English, rather than just correcting them. I also have a solid grounding in English phonology, so if you are looking to improve your accent and pronunciation, I would be a great choice for you.
