Charlie is one of those rare, sparkling people whose love of her craft is actually tangible. As a busy and in-demand actress and singer she is practising her art all the time, and her dedication really comes across. When working with us she has shown patience, enthusiasm and deep knowledge of how to help students overcome their anxieties about performing. She is profoundly empathetic, but also able to supply practical tips and tricks to help solve problems with presentational style. She can help students with projection, articulation, clarity of phrasing, cadence, physicality and developing a bond with their audience. She has a good ear for what text will and won't work in front of an audience, and can also help to hone or edit speeches which aren't quite working yet. Charlie is extremely diligent and committed to her students, frequently going above and beyond the call of duty to support them in difficulty. She is a kind and constructive tutor and any student would be fortunate to work with her.
