About Divya
I am a dedicated yoga teacher with years of experience guiding students toward better health, balance, and self-awareness. At Shakuntala Yogshala, I believe yoga is more than just physical exercise—it’s a holistic practice that helps you connect with your body, mind, and breath. Having trained in different styles like Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Gentle, and Therapeutic Yoga, I design classes that suit individual needs and lifestyles. My approach is patient, compassionate, and mindful, ensuring every student feels comfortable and supported, whether practicing online or in person. What inspires me most is seeing my students transform—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally—finding more peace, confidence, and resilience through yoga.

My teaching focuses on making yoga approachable for everyone- whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. Each class usually begins with gentle warm-ups, followed by a balanced sequence of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices), ending with guided relaxation or meditation for deep calmness.
I adapt my methods depending on individual needs-energetic flows for strength and flexibility, or slow therapeutic movements for healing and recovery. I also emphasize alignment, mindful breathing, and connecting body with mind, so students not only improve fitness but also gain inner peace.
My special expertise lies in Therapeutic Yoga, helping with conditions like asthma, BP, arthritis, back pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, and stress management. I also guide Pre-Natal Yoga for mothers-to-be with safe, nurturing practices.
These classes are suitable for adults, working professionals, senior citizens, and even school/college students who want to improve health, manage stress, and build focus.
