About Nathaniel
Hello, I'm Nat, a qualified secondary school teacher with extensive experience teaching Physical Education, Food and Nutrition, and Health and Well-being within the Welsh Curriculum.
Teaching is something I am genuinely passionate about, and I take pride in helping young people develop both their knowledge and confidence. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of all abilities, supporting those who need extra help while also challenging high-achieving learners to reach their full potential.
Alongside my classroom teaching, I have organised and led numerous sporting events, school trips, and extracurricular activities, giving me valuable experience in building positive relationships with young people and helping them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I understand that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching style to ensure lessons are engaging, accessible, and focused on achieving clear progress. Whether you are looking to improve your confidence, strengthen your understanding of a subject, or prepare for examinations, I will provide patient guidance and practical strategies to help you achieve your goals.

I am a qualified secondary school teacher with experience teaching Physical Education, Food and Nutrition, and Health and Well-being within the Welsh Curriculum. I currently teach students across KS3 and KS4 and have extensive experience working with learners of varying abilities, including those who require additional support and those aiming for higher attainment.
My teaching approach is centred around creating engaging, supportive, and well-structured lessons that build confidence and develop subject knowledge step by step. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, identifying strengths and areas for development before planning activities that help them make measurable progress. I believe students learn best when lessons are interactive, enjoyable, and linked to clear learning goals.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's needs. A typical lesson will include a review of previous learning, direct instruction and explanation of key concepts, guided practice, independent tasks, and regular feedback to check understanding and progress.
For theory-based subjects, I use a combination of questioning, modelling, exam-style practice, retrieval activities, and revision strategies to improve knowledge retention and examination performance. For practical subjects such as Physical Education and Food and Nutrition, I focus on skill development, technique improvement, tactical understanding, and building confidence through structured practice and constructive feedback.
My lessons are suitable for students aged 11–16 (KS3 and KS4), including those preparing for GCSE examinations. Whether a student requires additional support, wishes to improve their confidence, or is aiming for top grades, I provide personalised guidance to help them achieve their goals.
