About Sofia
I have been teaching singing since 2015 at all levels. I have studied Speech Level Singing in New York, Argentina and London and have worked as a performer with numerous musical theatre companies, both on stage and in the recording studio. I’ve also worked as a backing and lead vocalist for bands and solo Studio Albums, Children’s Music and Cast Recordings in the UK, Spain and Latin America. My lessons focus not only on you learning a singing technique that can make your voice shine, but also providing you with guidance and mentoring derived from my experience as a professional musician and performer in the industry.

I have taught singing through the Speech Level Singing Technique for the past 5 years while working as a musical theatre performer in Europe and Latin America. As a vocal coach, I believe every student brings with them a new and exciting set of skills, and I tailor my lessons to each person’s specific needs. The sessions focus not only on getting your voice in top form and using a healthy technique, but also interpretation and stage confidence, which are KEY for anyone wishing to develop their singing skills. Lessons will be structured around 3 main topics: 1) Breathing and Posture 2) Vocal Technique on the Piano (expanding your range, discovering your mix voice, developing a healthy sound, etc) 3) Repertoire (students can choose songs from a music genre of their choice or songs can be provided by the coach) I teach at all levels, from absolute beginners focusing on understanding your voice and learning the technique in a way that feels approachable and encouraging. To the singing professionals out there looking to hone their skills and work on specific vocal concerns. Lessons will be tailored to you specifically, so if there is anything in particular you are looking to work on please do let me know! I encourage you to record the vocal exercises we do on the lesson on a voice memo so you can use them to practise during the week, but I will also provide specific exercises and tips for each student so that you can carry on with your learning in between lessons. Perfect! Sofia is very professional, she's got something unique about teaching how to sing. Her knowledge about the voice and singing is incredible. Great teacher
Perfect! I like her emphasis on "vocal health" and not prematurely "diagnosing" my daughter's vocal range, i.e. alto, soprano, contralto etc. I liked how she gave genuine and specific positive feedback to encourage my daughter about her singing ability. I liked the warm up exercises followed by my daughter singing a song of her own choosing and getting positive feedback as well as some useful "constructive criticism". I liked her level of enthusiasm and energy that she brought to the lession. Very happy happy with her.
- Xanthe was a fabulous student. She has great potential and a lot of control over her voice for such a young age. In future lessons, we'll look at developing more confidence around her passage and her head voice as well as projection and posture. All in all, an amazing first lesson! Perfect! Sofia explains everything very well, she uses metaphors and helps you use your body to really think about how you are using your voice. She is so encouraging and makes me feel very comfortable.

Learning to sing with Sofia has so far been a wonderful experience. Having had a bad experience with another teacher in the past, I was on the fence about whether to pursue lessons. In the end, it was Sofia's enthusiasm for the art and patient nature that helped me get to where I wanted to be. I couldn't recommend her highly enough!
I'm very glad I met Sofia when I decided to take a serious approach to my development as a performer. Throughout the years, we've been able to work together in many projects, and her tutoring has been invaluable. She is clear and confident when it comes to explaining vocal technique, and was always able to patiently change her approach when I had difficulties or got stuck.
