About Claire
Music has been an important part of my life since childhood, leading me to complete a Bachelor's in Violin Performance and spend the last 7 years teaching aspiring musicians. Working with students at different levels has taught me the value of patience, encouragement, and personalised instruction. Every learner inspires me to continue improving as a teacher.
My teaching style balances technical development with musical creativity. I believe students learn best when they understand both the technique and the emotion behind every piece they play. Lessons are always adapted to support individual goals and learning preferences.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy chamber performances, orchestral music, and exploring different violin repertoires. These experiences keep my teaching fresh and inspiring. Helping students perform confidently and enjoy making music is the most fulfilling part of my profession.

My violin lessons are designed to make learning both enjoyable and rewarding through steady guidance and practical practice. Students learn bow control, finger placement, rhythm, posture, intonation, tone production, scales, sight reading, musical phrasing, and listening skills in a calm and supportive environment. Every lesson builds confidence through simple explanations and structured activities.
I adjust every lesson according to the student's ability and musical goals. Beginners focus on strong foundations, while advanced learners improve shifting, vibrato, expressive playing, performance preparation, and technical accuracy. Practice routines, demonstrations, and encouraging feedback help students progress comfortably at every stage.
I want students to enjoy the journey as much as the results. Every class develops musical confidence, discipline, creativity, and appreciation for beautiful performance. My goal is to help learners perform with confidence while building skills they can enjoy for many years.
