About Ahmad
My name is Ahmad, and Urdu is not just a language I speak, it is the language I think in, dream in, and have lived in every single day of my life. Born and raised in Pakistan, I grew up immersed in Urdu in its most authentic and natural form, absorbing not only its grammar and vocabulary but its poetry, its humour, its warmth, and the deep cultural identity woven into every word.
Several years ago I made the UK my home, and that journey gave me a new and valuable perspective. I understand what it means to navigate life between two languages and two cultures. That experience drives my passion for teaching because I know firsthand how powerful it is to feel truly at home in a language.
My connection to Urdu goes beyond the personal. I have used it professionally throughout my career whether in translation, communication, or working environments where precision and fluency in Urdu truly mattered. This professional exposure means I can offer students more than conversational basics. I can teach the language as it is used in the real world, across different contexts and registers.
But my motivation for teaching runs deeper than professional experience. I am passionate about keeping Urdu alive and thriving particularly here in the UK, where so many young people of Pakistani and South Asian heritage are growing up disconnected from the language of their families and ancestors. I want to help bridge that gap. At the same time, I welcome anyone of any background who is curious about this beautiful language and the rich culture it carries.
I believe every student deserves a tutor who is genuinely invested in their progress. I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously, and I bring patience, dedication, and care to every single lesson. My Approach to Teaching Urdu?
As a native Urdu speaker, I bring something no textbook ever can — authentic, lived experience of the language in its truest form. My lessons are built around "You": your goals, your pace, and your learning style. Whether you're picking up Urdu for the very first time or looking to refine your reading, writing, or conversational skills, I tailor every session to make sure you're always progressing and never overwhelmed.
How I Teach?
I use a communicative, immersive approach that puts real-world usage at the heart of every lesson. Rather than drilling grammar rules in isolation, I weave structure naturally into conversation, storytelling, and practical exercises — the way language is actually learned. Every lesson combines listening, speaking, reading, and writing so you develop well-rounded fluency from day one. I also make use of cultural context, because understanding Urdu means understanding the rich traditions, poetry, and expressions behind it.
