About Jo
University lecturer with more than 15 years experience in health care. I have a Masters degree in Education a Post-Graduate Diploma in Teaching for Nurses and Midwives and am a qualified nurse and midwife.
I am especially skilled at breaking complex information down so it is more easily understood and I can help you with writing skills, essay planning, revision, human biology, interview skills and exam preparation.
My approach is student led so you decide what you need to learn and I build on your knowledge. I believe in a relaxed approach to learning as I want you to feel able to ask questions and build your confidence.
I have experience helping students with dyslexia and other specific learning needs and can teach students from age 16 to 60 and beyond.
