About Gislaine
In my free time, I enjoy photography, traveling, and discovering hidden gems—whether it's a tucked-away restaurant or a unique local shop. I also love playing softball with friends and staying active. Exploring new places and capturing moments through my lens helps fuel my creativity, which I bring into my teaching style as well. The reason I got into teaching is because of my genuine love for working with kids and the joy I feel when I see their faces light up as they grasp a new concept. There's something incredibly rewarding about watching a child not only understand something new but also apply it in their own unique way, within their own world. It’s those moments—when learning becomes personal and meaningful—that inspire me the most. I believe every child has the potential to succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and environment. Teaching gives me the opportunity to be a positive influence, to nurture confidence, and to help students discover their strengths. It’s more than just a job to me—it’s a calling to help shape future thinkers, creators, and leaders.

Hi, I'm Gislaine! I’ve been a private tutor for over five years, working with students ages 9 to 16 across a variety of subjects. I have experience supporting learners with diverse needs, including those with Autism and ADHD, and I’m confident in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. I’m currently completing my degree in education, which has deepened my understanding of effective teaching strategies, and I bring a lot of energy and patience to each student. My approach focuses on making learning fun and interactive so students stay motivated and enjoy the process. I tutor in subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, History, Science, Art, STEM, and Speech. I’m bilingual in English and Haitian Creole, which helps me connect with and support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. My goal is to become a full-time teacher and continue making a positive impact in students' lives both academically and personally.
