First we address whether or not there are injuries, chronic illnesses, past surgeries, so I have an idea of what kind of limitations with which we're practicing. And then we go through a series of postures tailored toward beginner through advanced. It just depends upon how much experience the student has and how well they know their body. There is a lot I can figure out just by observing, but a conversation is always helpful.
