About Satya
“Satya” means “Truth” in Sanskrit, and “Yoga” means “Union”, so Satya Yoga is focused on guiding it’s students to recognize their deepest, truest, self. Traditional Hatha yoga and the 8 Limbs of Ashtanga (as prescribed by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras) are incorporated into this practice. The student is guided through a series of breathing exercises (pranayama), physical excerices (Asanas), and various meditations in order to realize their true self. After a Satya Yoga class one feels balanced and at peace both physically and mentally. This practice provides innumerable health and psychological benefits, as well as a deep spiritual experience.
I have been practicing various forms of yoga for 6 years and over that time I have refined a personal practice that has lead to spiritual awakening
