About Marissa
Life has often been relayed as just happening to us, "Oh, it's just life".
In my experience I would have benefited from hearing that I can create my life with my own paintbrush. The high stress work I did in the entertainment industry sent me to the hospital a few times over the years, great fun but I was missing balance.
What I've come to learn is that it happened for me. This led me to becoming a Holistic Health Coach. My family was intensely affected by food related disease. My curiosity and solution-oriented mind needed to find out why and what can be looked at to create healing. I had to pay attention to the necessity of life-style management and how it connects to my overall happiness.
I am first generation from the Caribbean and while going back every summer as a child I've learned it's a simpler way of living. I now apply some of the principles to my way of living day to day. When my family arrived in the United States, they got caught in the hamster wheel that promoted the diseases I've ended up experiencing through them.
Fortunately, my training has blessed me to help family, friends and clients completely heal from various health issues including cancer (stages 1 &4), weak bone density, anxiety, urinary incontinence, and high blood pressure.
How we choose to live shows up in the "fruits of our labor". Our everyday occurrences, relationships, career, movement, creative expression, spiritual practice, what we eat and hugely how we feel. We eat based upon how we feel. It's all related, it's energy!
I begin with vibrational awareness, regulating stress levels, establishing new routines that aid in creating a life-style that you desire and deserve.
LifeGems, guide us to purpose and healing. LifeGems are the pressure moments that are so uncomfortable that need to be looked for the jewels (life lessons) they hold. They are stimulators of Self-Mastery, a complete LifeUpRising I like to call it. Gratitude for your current state, clearing space for your desired state of being. Soothing your mind and body, encouraging vitality.
