About Brad
I like watching something come from nothing. A piece of wood slowly turning into a plate, bowl, cup, goblet, etc.
I am a woodturner, taught by the head of the Central Illinois Woodturning Association and have 5 years experience myself. I have learned what works and what doesn't
I personally like working with exotic woods and firing them to create unique pieces
I was asked by multiple people to show them how to turn wood and it caught interest
I have been turning for over 5 years and was taught by the head of the Central Illinois Woodturners Association on the basics when I was starting.

Showing them the basics, how a lathe works, how to use certain tools, what to look for in wood and finally having them turn simple small pieces.

Don't be afraid. I was afraid when I started asking for help and it was quickly proven to be unfounded. Also, dont be discouraged by the quality of your first works. Your skill will increase as you keep turning.
Giving a bowl I made as a gift and the recipient saying it was the most beautiful thing he'd seen.
