About Eliane
Hi everyone,
My name is Eliane Menzel and I am a classically trained violinist. Here is a little bit about myself:
I have earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan
School of Music, where I studied with Pinchas Zukerman,
and hold a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School.
My journey began at the pre-college division at the Academy of Arts Bremen where I was a student of Prof. Katrin Scholz. From 2014-2018 I was the
concertmaster in the national German String Orchestra, performing on concert tours throughout Europe.
I was supported by the DAAD foundation from 2019-2020 as well as from
2022-2024, making it possible for me to pursue my studies here in New York.
In 2024 I was the 1st prize winner at the Ann & Charles Eisemann International Young
Artists Competition for Strings.
As a soloist I have performed with orchestras such as the Oldenburger
Schlossorchester, Kammersinfonie Oldenburg, MainKammerorchester Frankfurt, the Ensemble Bremen-Frankfurt, the Oldenburg State Orchestra and the Richardson
Symphony Orchestra. In addition, I have also performed at the German Embassy
in Ottawa and in the German Embassy in New York as well as in Weil Hall, Carnegie
Hall.
Alongside my father I am the co-founder and artistic director of the “Schlosskonzerte Neuenburg” series. This concert series takes place in our
hometown in Germany with numerous performances every year. Our repertoire
presents music from baroque to modern style, including world premieres of
Compositions commissioned for them.
I am a member of the Albany Symphony as well as the cofounder of my own string
quartet, with which she performed throughout Europe this summer, playing in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria.
