About Laura
I offer a year round taekwondo black belt program. With committment and consistency, most students will earn a black belt in 5 years.
I love watching the personal growth of my students. They grow in confidence, leadership and athleticism.
As a martial artist, teaching is a natural progression as you get higher in the ranks.
I was a soccer coach for several years before I became a taekwondo instructor. I have been the head instructor of my own school for several years.

New students come in and introduced to their fellow students, and work with higher ranking students and instructors.
We work with students age 4 and up. Everyone has something specific they are looking for from a martial art. Once they are taking classes regularly they find they gain much more than what they were looking for.
Ask questions, observe or take a class before making a committment. Some schools are "fight" schools and only teach students how to fight. This is fine for the sport side, but the martial arts were created for self-defense.
I took my first all ladies team to the 2019 AAU National Championship. They did great and they all brought national level medals home.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How are often should they train? Should they practice outside of the classroom setting? What is the time committment? What is the cost?

We offer the first two weeks for free to all new students regardless of past martial arts experience. This gives the students and families a chance to try the martial art, and make sure the schedule will work for them.
