About Kathryn
I have decades of aquatic experience that I love to share. I am a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Adaptive Aquatics Instructor, and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. I have managed pools and taught swim lessons to children and adults. I have college degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and Psychology. I trained in springboard diving with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) as a teenager. I love all sports in, on and around the water. I focus on safety above all else.
Began working with in Hawaii as a lifeguard and swim instructor when I was 21.

I have worked with every kind of student imaginable. Children, adolescents, adults, and people with disabilities.
Safety first. Do not rely on flotation devices. Learn to swim and float to ensure the highest level of water safety.
I taught my boyfriends nephew self rescue skills to ensure safe swimming while in Hawaii.
