About Paola
Acqua Focus wants you to be able to enjoy any water related activity without worrying about the what ifs. Our instructors work to create personalized plans for each student, ensuring to construct an efficient learning environment as well as a fun one.
I enjoy seeing major progress and being able to help my students gain confidence in their own swimming abilities .
While being a lifeguard at my university's pool, I was hired by a swim company to teach private swim lessons.
I have been a swimmer for more than 16 years, as well as water polo player during high school. Since then, I have worked as a lifeguard as well as a swimming instructor for a swim company before deciding to create my own.

About the lesson

In the first lesson I access each student's skill and comfort level with basic tasks such as bubbles, floating, kicking, etc. Afterward, I will create a lesson plan specialized to the student that focuses on improving and learning skills as well as maintaining any existent knowledge.
I have worked with students of 1 year of age all the way to 40 years of age.
My advice is to find a teacher that clicks with the student. It is very difficult for individuals to want to get better at swimming if they don't like the instructor. Also make sure to find someone that is willing to cater to your needs as your learning speed and strengths may be different from other people.
I am fond of my students and very proud of all their accomplishments. I cannot bring myself to write down a specific event as I believe every student's accomplishment is just as important.
