About Megan
Hi! My name is Megan, and I am here to help you with any writing needs that you may possess. To give you some information about my personal and educational background, I possess a Verbal IQ of 140, and have been writing since age five. I wrote a 100 page book at age 11, and was published as a poet and book reviewer at ages 12 and 13. After graduating in the top two percent in my high school class and being an AP Scholar with Honors, I attended the University of Rochester, graduating Summa Cum Laude, again in the top two percent of my class.
I have written numerous things, including English literature papers, fictional short stories, poems, one act plays, two years worth of editorials in an Arts and Entertainment column, multiple social science and natural science papers (including a 50 page Psychology honors thesis), and multiple scholarship and grant proposals.
Regardless of your level of education, if you need help with writing or editing in any subject, please reach out to me! If you are in high school, I can also assist with AP writing prep and/or vocabulary building. I look forward to hearing from you!
I truly enjoy being able to help with bringing out people's individual voices within their writing across a variety of subjects.
I have worked as a music teacher and music therapy assistant, and worked as a private tutor in writing for students with special needs through a BOCES partner program at the University of Rochester for two years. I worked as a writing Tutor during a semester of graduate school. I have also worked substitute teacher in K-12, all subjects.
I have two BAs; one in Music, and the other in Psychology with Honors. I have a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Rochester.

First, I want to establish a rapport with the student via email or phone and gain a clear understanding of what they need from me.
Secondly, I would want the documents that need to be edited emailed to me to allow me 24-36 hours to read and edit it.
Once that is complete, I would have a Zoom session with the client to explain my impressions of the document and go also go over my corrections, and see if there are any questions that need to be addressed.
I have worked with students of all backgrounds, intellectual capabilities and ages.
