About Athira
I am always excited to take on new students as I find that a lot of my students feel more confident about themselves as well as what they know regarding the subject. I am friendly and approachable and reaffirm with students that if they have questions they can always ask them without fear of judgment.
I enjoy tutoring as it is fulfilling to see students undergo a positive change, academically as well as in how they present themselves. Seeing their confidence and skills grow makes me proud of my work. It only encourages me to help more students.
I graduated a year early from Floral Park Memorial High School in 2020. I have an Honors Designated High School Degree. I am currently a rising junior at Baruch College as I received additional credits from working hard during my junior year (as that's when I had to graduate). I've taken AP classes and tutored students in my high school.

I first will start with what are their goals and where they think they are lacking as well as what their strengths are. I will also give a diagnostic quiz or test to determine what we need to work on. Additionally, students can ask questions regarding homework by contacting through email.
