I start by introducing myself, and I ask the student to tell me something about his/her background, the level of Spanish he/she is learning. Also, the reason why he/she is taking Spanish, and not another laguage.
I also ask if there is any Spanish book, materials, or websites that the student is using.
What grammatical topic or vocabulary is the student learning.
I have worked with students in grades K-4 and 9-12.
Also, I have taught College Students, people 65 and older, and Professionals who want to learn Spanish in the Berlitz Language Center, in Cleveland Ohio.
I will tell the student that he/she should consider hiring a teacher like me because I love what I do, I am a native speaker, and I can make him/her improve the grade in the class, and motivate the student to understand how important it is to learn a second language, specially Spanish which is the second language in the United States.
I love Music, Art, and to travel.
I recently visited several universities in PA and OH.
I also went to several concerts, and visited some museums.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some important questions could be:
1. What is the background information about the teacher, such as education and experience.
2. What problems I having with learning Spanish.
3. Why Spanish is important to me, and why I need it.
4. Ask some questions about the material I want to review, or learn.
5. Ask the teacher: what is the schedule?, how long is the tutoring?, how much is the cost for one hour of tutoring? where do I meet with the tutor?

Professor Misra was a great teacher! I came into class without having any prior knowledge with Spanish, but she was energetic and helpful to make sure learning was enjoyable. I learned a lot of material in a short amount of time. Would recommend Professor Misra to anyone looking to learn or improve one's Spanish!
She was very down to earth. She knew Spanish very well, was able to meet with me at different times of the day and week. She knew the material I was studying very well and helped me understand it, and pass my classes
Wonderful teacher! Really cares about her students and takes time to make sure the students really understands the information rather than just memorizing it. So glad I had the opportunity of working with her!
I had an amazing experience with Mrs. MIsra as my Spanish teacher. She was my teacher for my high school Spanish 4 and Spanish 5. As an academic instructor, Mrs. Misra was patient, encouraging, and kind. Mrs. Misra was truly one of the best and most-dedicated teachers I've had in my educational career, with my high school experience and undergraduate experience combined. She will make an amazing Spanish Tutor!
Dear this website
I am a student here at tri-c Eastern Campus.
To learn something new like Spanish. I am one of those people who needs a little extra help like hands-on teaching. Mrs. Flor is an experienced teacher and she is wonderful at what she does. She is always so helpful and professional. I am so grateful to her and for her. She encourages me to keep on learning:
Don’t give up.
Keep studying.
To show my gratitude for her kindness and her encouragement, I keep striving to get better. I ask God’s blessings on Mrs. Flor for her patience and kindness that she has shown me.
She is a good teacher.
She is patient with me.
I wish that I could spend more time with her.
Sincerely,
Kathryn Williams
She cares about every student and gives great feedback on your assignments.
Ms. Misra is an enthusiastic and devoted Spanish Teacher with excellent communication skills. Ms. Misra was my high school Spanish teacher over 10 years ago and we still keep in touch today. She really is an exceptional instructor that provides a safe, positive, nurturing and consistent atmosphere.
She focuses on providing a high quality learning environment to foster student growth. She really cares about meeting the needs of her students to empower them to progress. She's highly recommended and very passionate about the Spanish language.
Profesora Misra helped me prepare for my Spanish-1 finals this past Spring at Tri-C. I was able to perfect my pronunciation and she also assisted with grammar review. With her help I was able to master a lot of material in a short amount of time, and I passed the class! She was very sweet and I enjoyed my experience with her :)
She is very communicative with what she’s teaching. She makes sure we get the material and what we covered for that day of the week. Very helpful and very caring for her students!
Ms. Flora made me feel very comfortable about coming to a tutor. I appreciate her taking her time to answer questions and ensure I understood the process.
Profesora Misra expressed a deep level of care and personal investment in students' learning and comprehension. She also made the experience fun and interactive by introducing popular culture- an experience that continued to pay off through the remainder of my Spanish studies (a Spanish minor in College).
Professor Flora was very helpful. I was a little nervous about learning Spanish. She ensured me that I could learn it and was very patient with me. She even gave me other sites that I could practice at home. That was very helpful.
Señora Misra was my Spanish teacher at Euclid High School for two years for Spanish 1 and 2 during 2002-2005. She is from Venezuela and made learning Spanish so much fun for me. She is so passionate about teaching and keeps her students engaged in the subject. I enjoyed her classes so much that I went on to take more Spanish classes during college and her teaching stuck with me so well that I was placed in higher level Spanish classes during that time. I highly recommend Señora Misra to anyone wanting to learn Spanish and I will always have a love for this language and culture because of her!
Flor Misra was my Introductory Spanish I and II (SP 101; SP 102) professor at John Carroll University (JCU).
I feel that Sra. Misra did a very good job introducing and reviewing the course material for every student: her lectures, classroom activities, handouts, homework assignments, and examinations seemed carefully planned, and they helped us to understand and retain the material. She has worked very hard to create a positive and supportive classroom environment to ensure each of her students feel comfortable asking questions and participating in class; she has done more to encourage active student class participation than any other professor I have had at John Carroll thus far. She has certainly stimulated my interest in learning Spanish and I feel that she has prepared me well for higher levels of Spanish at JCU.
Flor Misra has shown an incredible amount of dedication to her students' learning and success. She is more than willing to meet with students should they have any questions or need help on assignments (outside of her scheduled office hours, if necessary). She is always very friendly, approachable, and helpful towards her students.
Finally, I would like to mention that my experience in Flor Misra's class enriched my overall experience as a student at John Carroll. Her kind words and positivity truly brightened my days and inspired me to work hard not only in Spanish, but in all of my classes as well.Señora Misra made the class interactive and used many examples to demonstrate a skill or concept. She always cares about her students and goes above and beyond to make sure that they know the material, even if that means it is more work for her.
I had professor Misra at John Carroll University during Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. I took Spanish 101 and 102. I had never taken Spanish before and Professor Misra always encouraged me. She was always willing to meet and discuss topics or grammar; and she always made students feel welcome. She would go beyond just teaching information and tried to personally know each student. I had many wonderful conversations with her outside of class and loved who she was as a person. I received a B+ first semester and then an A second semester. She thoroughly worked through each chapter; I always felt prepared for an exam. She worked tirelessly to prepare study guides and emails to review materials or due dates to ensure everyone could do their best during the semester. She always came to class with a smile and began each class with Spanish music. She is one of the reasons why I love Spanish so much and decided to minor in the subject. She would be a wonderful asset to any institution or tutoring program!
